Across Georgia, six Scottish Rite Valleys form the operational and philanthropic backbone of the Orient. Each Valley unites Masons in fellowship, ritual excellence, leadership development, and charitable action — advancing the mission of the Scottish Rite in their communities.

For more than four decades, the Scottish Rite in Georgia has invested millions in scholarships and supported RiteCare programs serving thousands of children annually.
Our Valleys are the boots-on-the-ground leadership structure that makes this possible — identifying needs, raising resources, stewarding funds responsibly, and sustaining partnerships that expand RiteCare’s reach.

The Valley of Atlanta serves the Northeast area of our Orient, which has three RiteCare centers providing services to children with communication disabilities. The clinics are located at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Clear Speech, LLC in Conyers and the Community Care Clinic at the University of West Georgia. A remote clinic in Heard County was recently reopened thanks to the Valley’s fundraising efforts. The Valley subsidizes patient visits to allow families with limited means to benefit from RiteCare services. The clinics give University of West Georgia students the opportunity to train on their journey to become certified clinicians.

The Valley of Augusta sponsors the Apparo Academy as its RiteCare facility, which helps children overcome speech and swallowing disabilities.

The Valley of Middle Georgia supports the RiteCare clinic in Macon, which provides diagnostic evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders, as well as learning disabilities, through Therapy Specialists of Georgia. The clinic also provides assessment and intervention services for children with communication delays or disorders.

The RiteCare® Center for Communication Disorders at Georgia Southern University is the primary RiteCare facility in the Savannah area. The center is supported by an annual contribution from the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Savannah Valley in keeping with the national philanthropic program of the Scottish Rite Masons to support speech and hearing clinics.
The center is staffed by students pursuing their master’s degrees in speech-language pathology in the Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSDS) program at Georgia Southern. Supervision is provided by CSDS program faculty, all of whom are certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed by the State Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.

The Valley of South West Georgia sponsors a RiteCare clinic at Valdosta State University. The clinic is directed by a skilled educator and therapist with a staff including undergraduate students who are fully engaged everyday with testing and tutoring. The Dyslexia program is becoming well known in the Valley.
