Court of Honor - KCCH

The membership of the KCCH consists of all 32º Knights Commander Court of Honour, who are members in good standing of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of the Valley of Atlanta. There are no annual dues for membership.

We, the Knights Commander Court of Honour of the Atlanta Scottish Rite Bodies, realizing that duty and responsibility are inherent in the honor, which we assume and will discharge to the very best of our ability, wish to join together in a more meaningful way to discharge our responsibilities, collectively and more effectively, as a vital, functioning and viable group.

The KCCH holds quarterly meetings beginning in January each year, on dates designated by the Commander-elect. The meetings are intended to conduct the business of the KCCH, keep the members informed on upcoming events and to provide general information on the bodies of Free Masonry.

Meetings begin at 7:00 PM in the York Rite room of the Atlanta Masonic Center. The scheduled meeting dates for 2009 are:

KCCH meeting is July 15 at 7pm in the York Rite Room of the Atlanta Masonic Center Speaker is to be Brother Conn from the Masonic Service Assoc.

The January meeting is the annual meeting of the organization and officer elections will be held at this meeting. All Valley of Atlanta KCCH members are encouraged to attend. Meetings are also open to all 33º Masons and their attendance is encouraged and welcomed.

The KCCH raises funds by operating the Rite Shop, volunteer work at the Atlanta Speedway, and an annual solicitation of donations from the members. These funds are used for the operating costs of the KCCH, plus an annual donation to the various Valley Charities and a donation to the Children’s Health Care of Atlanta upon the death of a member of the court.

The duties of the KCCH members are to actively solicit, encourage and sponsor worthy and qualified new members into the Scottish Rite. To encourage those brethren that began their advancement in Scottish Rite degrees, but for whatever reason did not complete the degrees, to resume their journey and become a full fledged 32º member of the Valley of Atlanta. To encourage affiliation with the Valley of Atlanta for members of other Valleys that may now live in our jurisdiction. And to assist the Valley of Atlanta in the reinstatement of those members who have been suspended for nonpayment of dues.

The KCCH also performs such other functions as requested by the Personal Representative to the SGIG. These may include providing mentors for new candidates during the reunions and assisting with projects such as the Tournament of Champions Blue Lodge Competition.
